Are these generic or are there national differences.

Pretty sure there are national distinctions, especially as all the other figures etc I've come across are differentiated unless they are in the Miscellaneous range (such as kneeling firing).  I've only got a few French hussars so far but will be getting Prussians soon (to form Von Ruesch's Hussars) and other natons' in due course.

There are a few people with extensive SYW armies who should know for certain.

There are relevant differences between the Austrian hussars (depicted in low busby) and the Prussians (in mirliton) which are the major differences that you want. I would imagine the Prussians would make good French hussars, and a mixture would give you Russians.

Prussians in fur caps were not unknown, mind you - von Ziethen is usually dressed in the more modern fashion. Possibly both types of headgear in the Freikorps? Mmmm, must dust off my own Prussians and Austrians; it's been too long, as the actress said to the bishop.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

In the Prussian army the officers tended to wear the colpack (busby), while the rank and file were issued with mirlitons. The French hussars (and chasseurs à cheval) wore the mirliton as late as the revolutionary wars.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Austria all in Busby and are depicted that way including the trumpeter in a tricorn which is good, Grenz Hussars use the Prussians in Mirliton

Prussia HR's 1,2,3 wore the Busby (use Austrian figures), HR's 4 to 9 the Black Mirliton use Prussian ones

Brunswick Hussars Busby but in black fur

Russian Hussars "Moldavski", "Grouzinski", "Serbski", "Venguerski", "Noverserbski", "Slavianoserbski" all Black Busby's, "Yellow" Yellow Mirliton

French Hussars "Fischer" Black Mirliton, "Legion Royale" Blue Mirliton?, "St Victor" Red Busby, "Monet" Green Mirliton, "Wurmser" Black Mirliton

For good affordable reference material for SYW I recommend partizen press's series by James Wood from Caliver books for better but so affordable or easy to get these days, The Austrian Army of Maria Theresa, Frederick the Great and The Russian Army of the West all by C Duffy again primary source Caliver Books.  Another really nice book on the Prussian army was a 2 volume series by Engelman and Dorn but last time I looked it was around 80 or 90 quid and almost impossible to source (I'm kicking myself for selling mine ten years ago).
