Kind've fell upon this project after reading D Day by Beevor and seeing a lot of the well done WWII stuff done on this forum.

First up another of the Revell kits that I really like -

Very nice. Like the colour scheme.

"If it shows up blue it's the RAF and the Germans duck, if it shows up grey it's the Luftwaffe and the British duck, if it shows up white it's the Americans and EVERYBODY ducks!"

Cheers guys (that was quick haven't finished uploading the photos yet)

Ok so bought a few sample items to get me started and painted them up as 10th SS panzer regiment. Panzergrenadier camo, I've decided, is a right bugger to do.

Maybe so but the results are impressive.

Really they are very, very nice 8). I particularly like the '88' base.

Hertsblue

Excellent, Matt. The foliage on the armour is really well done - so difficult not to over-do.

Oh, and the Bf 109F - it's a great little kit. One thing has always puzzled me, though. Why, when the Germans went in for elaborate camouflage schemes, did they then paint the entire nose and tail-plane bright yellow? Yeah, I know they were aces' planes, but it seems like a contradiction to me.  :-\
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Fantastic Matt , love the me109 colour scheme. We'll done.

I was led to believe it was theatre markings, but I'm often wrong!  :D

Thanks again guys

I was a bt disappointed that the 88 only came with 2 crew poses (is that right?). Anyway the late war smg and late war panzerfaust are quite easy to convert into extra crew.

Still not sure i'm 100% happy with it. My wife thinks I need to add some actual branches but I'm not sure how doable that is at this scale or whether you would be able to see them.

You're going to tell me its North Africa marking or something aren't you. If so I'll need another 109 AND start a new project.
