Looking for pics of the water buffalo to see if they would do as a proxy for the African variety. Needing a pile for my hunt game.
Cheers :D
Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

Unfortunately I'd say they're probably not. They seem quite small and scrawny to me: ribs showing. They also have the characteristic very long horns, swept back over the shoulders in the sculpt.

They're the group of five bottom left in these photos. The Boer oxen are bottom right and might be a better option.

At least with the Boer oxen the horns are pointing in the right direction, although the head seems disproportionately large compared to the body to me. It also seems on the small side to me for a Cape buffalo.

I'll try and get some close up photos of them both next to a man in the next couple of days.

Cheers Meirion.
Eureka do some nice cape buffalo cavalry, the buffalo are really good, however they have saddles  etc attached.
How do the elephants look. I am after some of those too, but want at least one in full charge mode, ears out ec. looks like It will be down to the N guage model railway stuff for them and the giraffes

Have a look in my painting diary, I've been working on Pendraken's animals and some Irregular 10 & 15mm for a Tusk game, although my inspiration has been faux North American.

Techno's elephants are cracking, but there's only one pose and it's rather static. They also don't really look like Africa elephants. On the other hand, the Irregular one is a bit cartoony and tubby.

Must say I like the other Irregular animals though. Haven't painted it yet, but their bison is spot-on and the 15mm wart hogs make cracking Pleistocene giant boar ;)  I don't think they make a 10mm Cape buffalo though :(

Right, here are a couple of dodgy photos for your comfort and delectation!

VM31 Water Buffalo and BW26 Oxen Team:

As above, with a barbarian spearman, Landesknecht halbardier and Keira for scale.

Hope they're of some help in your hunt!
