Saw this link over on PMT - an amazing collection of 14 photographs taken not long after photography was invented, capturing AWI soldiers in their old age.
I find it incredible that we can look into the eyes of men who fought in the war 240 years ago, it almost takes you back as if you're there with them.

These are pretty cool, I was just showing them to Dave as well.  Like Lemmey says, surprising how many of them reached 100+ ages.  Although is that because the advent of the photo technology would require AWI vet's to be around that age?
