Commanded by Général de Lartigue, it consisted of  56th Line Regiment,3rd Zouave Regiment, lst Légère Battalion (Chasseurs a Pied), 87th Line Regiment (remained in Strasbourg) and 3rd Algerian Tirailleur Regiment  plus artillery (which I haven't started yet). It fought at Worth and Sedan.
Basically, what French I had left in the jiffy bag  before starting Bavarians!  ;D

The whole division  (minus artillery and the 87th that stayed in Strasbourg)

Général de Lartigue and 56th Line Regiment

3rd Algerian Tirailleur Regiment

3rd Zouves

Oh, and (1st & 4th) Bonnemains Curassiers which were lying around too!

Nice one, Lemmey. There's something about Zouaves and Turcos....  8)

Ah, so you're just making up that list because you had some spares lying around, right?

Great stuff Lemmy! Wish i could turn out my French and Prussians at your speed. Guess I'm too period-greedy.

very nice. personnally I love corps-style basing of units [or how-ever they're called], where bases represent regiments/brigades. and these work really well. nice job, once again.

Currently trying out an FPW take on Square Bashing using 60x30mm base as a regiment on a 4'x3' table. Managed Froeschwiller in 2.5 hours. Although units were reduced etc. it still looked impressive in 10mm and the result was surprisingly realistic, i.e. the French won by 1 point but took heavy losses in defence. As the sun sank slowly in the west the Prussians took a now burning Froeschwiller town. The French player decided that he would not be there when the sun came up again.

Very nice. Must get back to my boys once this SYW Prussian army is finished - about a month to six weeks I reckon.
