If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

The thing that amazes me is that 35 out of 36 readers found it "helpful"!  :o

Good grief......
Has anyone checked any of 'D.A Brown's' (TM) other reviews ?
I see he likes FRP.

This is also fun to do in a electronics store, trying to get some spotty 19 year old explain to you why the £90 cable is better than the £10 one

The answer is - it isn't.  Then you explain what digital means.

I went to the product page and at the bottom is this

I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

On a slightly different tack.....

A friend who's absolutely passionate about 'proper' hi-fi made my jaw drop by announcing he'd paid £500  for just a few feet of speaker cable ! :o :o :o :o
(Purest silver instead of copper wire apparently.)
I'm sure it made a bit of a difference to the sound quality.....But I don't think my old ears would be able to tell now.

Cheers - Phil

Hertsblue

It would have to be platinum to justify that price, Phil.  :o

This was a chap that had spent £5,000 on just the CD player, Ray.
Goodness knows what the price of the whole kit (amp, tuner, speakers etc came to.) :o :o :o :o
Cheers - Phil.

Some invest in Hifi, others in 10mm Goodies ;)

Hertsblue

Yeah, but 10mm figures don't hiss and crackle and stop working for no apparant reason.  :)

Absolutely correct. I shall try this argument with the ministry of finance (wife).
