Just getting together a final order for my WWI eastern front stuff.

Are there any figures that would be good for dismounted Russian cavalry?

I could use infantry figures but they have a blanket roll.

Thanks

Shedman

The one of the left might be suitable - except I can't remember what pack he comes from

For the Cossacks I use RP6 Infantry, greatcoat, fur hat, firing

Could be a possibility, thanks Shedman.  :)

Hello LM

These figures are from the old discontinued WW1 Russian Infantry pack

Cheers Toolsey.

What I'm looking for is something that's close that could be used with a minimum of conversion.

The only choices I can see are:

a. British WWI Dismounted cavalry in cap
b. 1905 Russian Foot.

But there are not pics. Does anyone have pics/ opinions of these?

Thanks

Hello LM

her is a pic of the Russo-Japanese Russian infantry:-

Just be aware that they wear the peakless fourashka(?) cap.

The dismounted British cavalry wear puttees rather than boots but would probably be closer to what you want. Or you could use the WW1 British infantry in peaked cap and greatcoat. Here is a picture of figures painted by the inimitable Nik Harwood:-
