Hi

Has anybody had any experience with Aktionshaus MZZ N scale vehicles? Lots of vehicles from the 30s, 40s and 50s - http://www.aktionshaus-mzz.de/katalog_ansicht.asp?suchtyp=Kat&suchkatalog=2620000000&clickkatalog=2620000000&clickebene=3&reloadmenu=1&katalogname=Bausatz+unlackiert#2620000000

Just wondering about the size, etc. I've bought some N Gauge (1/150) that are too small to go with 10mm and some N Scale (1/160) that go nicely  :-/

Cheers

MZZ of Hilden, Germany make very good 1/160 "European" N gauge.  I have seen their models - no solid cabs, loads of detail.   And yes, while the British 1/148 N is playable with our 10mm, the 1/160 vehicles are  just a tad too small.

You will however get away with scenic items and small boats etc.   Is Gem railway models still trading ? They do soild cast 1/148 1930s vehicles and a neat Tigermoth

Hello James/Sunray

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping that the vehicles were bigger but it was not to be. After getting stung by the P & D Marsh N gauge 1/148 (really 1/160) I thought I'd better ask around before laying out the cold hard readies.

Moving onto something entirely unrelated I found some die-cast biplanes and have sent off for some Peter Pig Pilots and observers to see if I can turn them into anything usable.

They have a really large tail wheel assembly which needs to be sawn off and the undercarriage needs replacing but otherwise they look around the 1/144 mark and good enough for imagi-nations.

The same Australian wholesaler has some fighters that to my short-sighted eyes look around the same size as Zvezda etc.

Cheers
