I like the idea of a local amateur dramatic society taking to the field in various props and costumes
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

I keep having the urge to do a local defence force based on my village, wiith cavalry in fox hunting uniforms, gamekeepers with shotguns, farmers with farming implements, a old tractor converted into a tank and even some chaps dressed in full plate mail borrowed from the Dukes personal collection. Would be a lot of fun.

Give in to the urge Chris :D. I do like the idea of some chaps in armour as they would look the dogs danglies 8). Great for some command stands etc.

Trouble is it would be trickey to do in 10mm I think, unless anyone can come up with some ideas for a 1930s tractor in 10mm to convert, and suitable cavalry to be fox hunters.

Look for the "Bob Semple", and some of the Russian improvised stuff, baiscally square/rectangular boxes, with very litte in the way of wheels or tracks showing.

Hmmm, might get one or two of these as they are so cheap :). Perfect for my Hanham militia and their homemade armoured vehicles.

Didn't I see that Martin had done a traction engine a little while ago - or am I halucinating as usual?  :-\
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Oh man I need that traction engine for my force. There are 2 working traction engines in the village here!

Squirrel

My village had a workshop during the '30s and 40's that maintained and supplied steam traction engines to the surrounding farms, so I could definitely use a couple  8)

It's about time I extended my VBCW collection ......

Cheers,
