Spielberg to develop Kubrick's Napoleon for TV!

I'm not that fussed about Napoleon myself but this is going to be a big deal:

Kubrick spent years researching this project and it was his great unmade opus. Spielberg is a good pair of hands for it to fall into. I reckon it will be the definitive screen version of the Emperor. I am sure its years off yet, but I am genuinely excited by this news!

Although he'd be too old for the role, I think John Malkovich would have been an ideal candidate... he plays those 'on the edge' quite well.

Yep - that works for me. But you'd never find me cast as Napoleon in that case...simply can't imagine a world where I would tell la Knightly "not tonight"
