Spent two weeks dealing with local government for our son to get his social worker support back after it was stopped due to lockdown. A real case of one department not knowing/talking to another, despite it meant to be a seamless . Fortunately an excellent lady who did her job perfectly kicked up a stink and got things sorted!!!

Managed to have a day working from home today.

Despite having a couple of staff problems ( ) to sort out, I finished at 4pm. 

Got a few hours painting in, finished the 2nd Bttn 3rd Wurttemberg Infantry. They are lovely figures, and great fun to paint.  I was doing Brunswickers (I picked a dark grey with a black wash BTW, and an actual black instead of my usual grey-black for the belts and shakos), but ran out of dark grey so had to switch to the Wurttembergers.

It is days like today that I am very thankful for the hobby.

After a bad day at work I did enjoy working on my toy soldiers, if only for an hour or so, but at least I had done something I wanted to do, which was nice . Now 'retired' I don't have to deal with office politics, just local government!
