Not at home, but just realised there might be a problem with the 'Mount the plate on top' method; the tiles are sloped - like a roof but with a flat middle - the switches might be on one level on one side, and another on the next.

If I ever use flat tiles I will do this though.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Woke up to a fair amount of snow in the Mendips this morning with vehicles unable to get up the hill in the village where I live for the first few of hours. Cars just seem to be able to make it now; hope it clears by Thursday as we need to get to Heathrow to catch a plane to Thailand.  :-\

Cheers Paul

Snowed Saturday night/Sunday Morning here, but the Sunday morning rain cleared it. Because we are in a vale the weather does seem to do its own thing on occasion; the county border is on a ridge line, and you can sometimes see the line of clouds on this as you drive up the A41.

We had a tiny bit of snow (1-2cm ?) Saturday afternoon/early evening, but the rain almost washed it all away.
All gone by Sunday morning, apart from a tiny amount on the sides of the road in a couple of places.

On the 10 mile trip into Cardigan, Sunday morning, I only saw enough to make one small snowman. (If that !)
I'll do this later

Here is a problem for an idle moment...

As you may have seen I'm tweaking my Battle of Britain rules. I use the Spitfire as the basis for stats. I wrote it as the 'way the system works', and then extrapolated the other aircraft from that.
For instance there are three phases in a bound, so the Spitfire has a max speed of 9 - 3 moves in each phase. This gives me a Bf109 of Max 10, Hurricane of 8.

Each phase is 3 seconds.

Firing is as follows.

Start with -Range mod +/- Aspect mod + Guns +d6

A Spitfire carried 14 seconds of ammo, which was fired in 3 second bursts* (hence phase length), so that is 5 shots, 4 at +3, and the last at +2.

For the 109 I have 9 seconds (3 phases) of Cannon and Mg fire, then another 9 seconds of Mg fire after the cannon was empty.

There were just 2 MGs firing on interrupter through the prop.

The firing profile of the 109 is
+5 / +5 / +5 / -2 / -2 / -2

SO, given the MG pair is -2, what is the Cannon with no MG? (and no, it isn't +7!, the MGs aren't actually reducing their effectiveness.)

To be clear, I am not looking for any suggested amendments, the game works well as it is. This is just idle curiosity.

*RAF pilots would have the tracer every 3 seconds to help them count usage. The last 2 seconds often had a lot of tracer to say "You're out!"

Purhaps this website will be of interest to you LH: https://flying-guns.com/flying-guns-wwii-fighters/

It lists various fighters and considers their armament, including how long they can fire their various weapons for.

In January 2023, I started monitoring how much I spent on the hobby; figures, books, paints etc.

So far, it's somewhere between "wow!" and "ouch!".

I justify it 'cos I don't go on holiday, don't own a car and don't socialise. If I ain't at work, I'm hobbying.

To be fair I only looked at it 'cos I just put in another order with Pendraken and another with Maverick Models (flags for armies I haven't even started ordering!  :( )

Mine's got the relief of the siege of Malta to its credit; also Borodino, from the days when Russians could with a straight face be called good guys in venues other than Quora.

Yep, exactly as Ithoriel suspects, I've not updated the requests lists for a while so thought I'd get it done last night.  We're hoping to clear some of the decks this year (along with some of the requests too) so I'll get a new Top 10 list put out this weekend.
