Suggested text for the Father of the Bride Speech

"This day is called the feast of Crispian:
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian:'
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
And say 'These wounds I had on Crispin's day.' "

The fact they draw up in specific formations, or ritualise the combat is astounding.

Is this a request for another range ?

From the url you copied LH this would be a historical range, all be it of insects

Followed by a post from FSN about all the figures he bought, and the specific ranges he's bought.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Spent last two days tiling then grouting kitchen. Approximately 4m50 of length.

I would post a link to the b&q website for them, but I can't find them, so lucky you!

They are 200x100mm, with sloped edges (that is like a horizontal slice of pyramid).  Tiled "Running" style in brickwork,  that is each row offset by half a length on the one below.

4 rows, then a thinner grey tile to top on the sink wall, only 3 high on the cooker wall, because of the cupboards.

Tricky bit was the 5 switch/socket plates. Rather proud one tile I have cut in a 'n' shape to go round the cooker switch.

Always amazes me when people cut tiles around switches. Just take it off the wall and remount on the tiles  :D

My Dad informed me that he has just received our Xmas card, that we posted 1st class a week before Xmas :o  >:( . This really is taking the p*ss! Since Xmas we've barely seen our postmen, who do not turn up somedays or only deliver to half of the street. I'm awaiting some important mail for our son, so may have to chase things up tomorrow when everyone should be back at work. Sooooo annoying and frustrating!

We often only get a couple of deliveries a week. If you have to collect a parcel from the sorting office they only open from 0800-1000 M-f and 0800-1200 Saturdays.

Most switches have a box behind them that is embedded into the wall - so surely you have to cut around this? But agree that removing the face plate will give more tolerance on the cut around the box, as the edges will be hidden by the face plate.

Whilst our post has moved to being delivered later in the day - we do get a postie most days of the week still.

Yes, going to collect a parcel was a pain, due to limited opening hours - most of the time we just chose the deliver it tomorrow option.

There must be a backlog in international mail currently - we had a NZ Couriers delivery at 12:15 yesterday. We were expecting it at some stage, but first time I've ever seen them deliver on a Sunday afternoon.

Hmmm, didn't consider this - would the wiring cope with the extra? I know it's only a few mil, but the wires can be a bit tight on some plates.

I think I will look at seeing if I can retile those bits - I have quite a lot left over, so I can try out on one socket. I'll ask the Old Man next time he is over. Cutting round the plate is the way I learned, now I am thinking "Oh bottoms".

When I worked for an electrician , he always told me push 6 inches of cable back into the wall cavity if at all possible to cater for this , or the wires breaking and needing re-terminating. You might well be lucky

Well, that gives me something to do in my otherwise empty life. I don't have other stuff I'd rather do, or even figures to paint.

Hi

Woke up to a fair amount of snow in the Mendips this morning with vehicles unable to get up the hill in the village where I live for the first few of hours. Cars just seem to be able to make it now; hope it clears by Thursday as we need to get to Heathrow to catch a plane to Thailand.  :-\

Cheers Paul
