On Eric, the various factions have followed a line of raised platforms (perhaps walkways, perhaps road of some description - who knows?) This has led to a settlement (research station? barracks? sanitation station?) and all four human factions have sent forces racing to it.

The mysterious settlement. showing the walkways clustered around it.

One of the many local craters has flared in blue flame - which they are prone to do randomly.

Blue approaching with lighter forces foremost. The Blues make great use of automated fighting machines including a thick screen of free flying drones, but most vehicles are tracked.

Black force. Each section of infantry is paired with a heavy fighting vehicle. For additional support there is a pair of heavy missile launchers. All vehicles are anti-grav.

The plan is to fight each of the four forces, teasing out the differences and modifying the rules to give balance between the various configurations.

I was worried I'd overdone the grey - but I think the pretty flowers make it bearable.

I'm contemplating making some of these plants somewhat dangerous. Then perhaps add in some native fauna - black, slightly glossy, snappy mouths and acid blood. Or not.

This scenario could do with some competing archaeologists/xenobiologists/disposable scientists that need to be protected.

I also need to come up with some proper names for the factions.

Golly! Eric is really quite beautiful and I would consider a visit once it stops being a war zone. Really nice work!

To be honest it's very low effort.  :-[

It's coming along.  :) Not bad as a holiday destination bar the flaming craters, the malevolent flora and the (planned) hostile denizens,

Good stuff fsn I like the grey terrain.

Did you choose not to add the 'rail' bit to the mono-rails, or has the design changed?

Also where are you building blocks from?

I did not add the monorail. I fancy them as walk ways - and thought it would be easier to place figures on them without rails.

Customisation of the mono rails - interesting approach as walk way. In our games they have largely been decoration. I'm not sure anyone has wanted to pop their jump pack troops right up on top in line of sight of everyone!

Thanks for the link, I thought they looked familiar
