Daffodils and other bulbs often need dividing after a period of time to encourage them to flower again. If they keep coming up blind (no flowers) dig them up and replace them. Somehow I think we have Wild Garlic in our garden, so I've got a lot of weeding to do soon, as it's spread everywhere :(.

Covid jab went well and in and out in less than 5 minutes. All OK for first 36 odd hours, then last night felt very tired, run down etc which is a common side effect. Still, far better than having Covid.

Good news, Steve !

Not sure whether we'll get ours tomorrow, now. =)
Von seems to have managed to get the Winter vomiting bug. X_X...Poor lass.

I'll have to check with the surgery as to whether they'll want us to turn up.

Watched the BBC Stonehenge in the Preseli Mountains documentary last night Phil. Nice to see some of your early sculpts are still about.

I really must go and finish those off one day.

Personally I thought his Pyramid sculps in Egypt were better -  more precise

Yes....It's far easier to get nice straight lines with Milliput.  ;)

Cheers - Phil.

. . . At least we don't have Gulls!

Lucky! We usually have two or three nests on chimney stacks in our little triangle of houses. Noisy buggers at 04:00, and real pains when the chicks fall of the roofs into gardens and the parents then go mad trying to protect them.

Steve J

Fingers crossed you can both get the jab Phil.

Good Luck with that!  :( Once I realised how much Wild Garlic spreads and 'overpowers' the smaller spring plants, I tried digging it out, but... seeing as I am NOT going to use weedkiller, reckon I am stuck with the stuff!  :(

With regard to the Covid vacs. Ma, (88), had hers mid Jan...Pfizzer. Now, several weeks on,...  and, IT MAY NOT BE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE JAB... could just be Her degeneration, but, she has largely ceased to 'make effort' in several ways. Possibly a 'tiredness' side effect? Maybe it will pass...   :(

What is CERTAIN, is that vaccination is essential if Covid is to be contained... it will never be 'eradicated'. Very glad to see that 'poorer' nations are now receiving some supplies... but I rather think that whatever they CAN do will be a 'drop in a bucket', given World population. What 'developed' countries CAN do is try to stamp on the thing, hard in their control province... then help others.

It'll just be me, tomorrow.

Von's re-booked hers for next Thursday......Annoyingly in 'the other' surgery belonging to the practice. That one's 10 miles away, instead of the mile and a bit for me tomorrow.

At least Von's feeling better now.....Just rather battered from all the puking.

Cheers - Phil

Von's feeling an awful lot better......Thanks, chaps ! :)

BUT.... reading the possible side effects, it was probably the right thing to do to cancel her jab.

Very efficient down at the surgery......Bloomin' heck... it was almost like being back at school, waiting for the TB jab.....Light speed, or what ?

I think my left arm is so bloody used to having jabs.....I genuinely didn't feel a thing*.

Cheers - Phil (* No sense...no feeling !) :P

Steve J

The injection completely painless, but my shoulder has been very sore for the past few days, which is a pain as the want to put it in the left shoulder, so everyone is the same (they didn't for our son :-) but I'm left handed, so a tad awkward! Also still feeling a bit tired and more breathless than normal, but getting better I think.

It really was so painless.....

Only (recentish) jab I've had that 'hurt' was the pneumonia one.....That gave me a slightly sore arm for three or four days.

No idea.....I did get jabbed there, once.......must be over 40 years ago....When I had a really evil stomach bug, and the Doc made a house call.....I'm fairly sure the jab was some sort of painkiller.
I assume it's something to do with getting the injection into a larger muscle mass than your arm. :-\ ......Perhaps it works faster ?

Cheers - Phil
