Looking for the Company owners or sales staff in the North East

I was wondering if any Self Employed/Sales staff/Company owners /Franchise owners who live in the north east, between (South) Newcastel and (North) Hartley pool want to take advantage of an opportunity?

I work very closely with Local business to drive and create work in the region.

It has nothing to do with minatures but if it creates work you can by more models!

It sounds like spam I must admit, there ain't no way of saying it or contacting people without it sounding like spam.

Basically Local business's (Tradesmen, Marketing types, IT, Accountants, IFAs and such) meet up at the Ramside (A1/A690 junction) and we... Well what I said above, create and generate work between each other. I don't want people to join, I don't want any cash (well £10 to pay for the room hire and bacon sarnies) I just want you to come down and visit us.

If I said that an average member gets £20K per year, you would think I was pulling your chain, and so would be spam... So I'll say this... Why do I go and have gone for 3 years? Perhaps I'm totally bonkers and make no cash at all, but just that I need somthing to do and have no models to paint? I can defiantly say that ain't true. So why do I? So any local buisness Wanna find out?

So come down, what's the worse that can happen to your company? You lose £10. What's the best thing that can happen to your company?

As a "is anyone interested" pitch or even a 'sales pitch' this sounds really odd. Its probably the vagueness of it more than anything.

Is it a networking event? Or something else.

What's the worst that can happen - well waste a day, spend money on fuel.

I suppose the closest match is 'networking' but its more than that, the 'vagueness' is due to the fact that its easy to show than to tell.

Your right, you could waste 2hurs of your time. Depends how you use your time? We usually have 2 visitors a week, 20% join and around 70% say they cannot commit due to work/children/etc and the rest say they don't wanna put extra time into work... Never have I had a "that's a waiste of my time." Comment as they do get to to do networking.

Although we do network we ain't like the mussel club and the majority of 'networking groups'

We are a tight group of Local business who help eachouther to find work and help each other in the region.

To say its networking is like saying the Painting models is like Decorating a room. Similar in principle, nothing like it in practice.

The point is, it has made me (since April) £15K profit (and hopefully all thos customers will come back to me). That's  95% of my work is due to the group. I'd like to think that although Leon doesn't 'know me' I would like to think that he would say I wasn't the kind of guy to 'waste someone's day' why would I, I don't get paid for this?

Overall, obviously you can't have 20% of two people.

Do me a favor please guys, this is suppose to be a group of 'like minded' gamers. I'm feeling a tad surrounded here. All I'm doing is saying "I get a lot of work from this group, it's fab, any one wanna come visit" If your not interested cool. It's not like I've joint this Forum to post this, im a activer gamer with Luddite as one of my gaming group, I often talk to Leon, Paint it Pink, Techno, etc  about this and that, I've sculpted my own 10mm Dr Who models, I have over 400 posts prior to this thread, I ain't a guy who has just cold called you when your favoret TV program is on.

I was interested in getting some more details, as I'm always interested in ways different businesses attract new income. 

I'm not sure how much interest it will get on this particular forum, as there's around 30 members off the top of my head in this region, only a couple of whom own their own business.  That was the reason for my initial surprise, as this didn't seem like a place likely to drum up much in the way of traffic/visitors.  Have you got your info on business networks like Linked In?

I'm not on linked in... Although I know I should be and I am often told I should be. But other members of the group are and I know they are using it.

But as this is the only 'social media' I use, I thought... I'll give it a go...

I know, as you say, this forum covers not just the UK but all the way to NewZeland, but if you have 30 members in the NE, 2 with there own business (please point then in my direction), possibly a few who work in sales/management  and one Visits, its been worth me doing.
