Saw the first episode last night, have always enjoyed the books, thought they did a really good job. Timothy Spall was excellent
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Totally agree with Fenton.
I nearly didn't bother to watch it after reading a review, which wasn't particularly complimentary.
Glad Mrs Techno wanted to watch it.
Thoroughly enjoyable !
(Certainly knocked spots of the DVD we watched in the afternoon.....Mr King's "Dreamcatcher".....Thought that was utter tripe.)
Cheers - Phil.

The style of it actually reminded me a bit of the way the old 'Jane' series was done, nicely fast paced and at half an hour just the right length, all the characters were suitably over the top

......And....as that was only the first episode, I think that bodes very well.
Cheers - Phil.

Bernie

Totally insane - brilliant - nice pigs as well

The characters should be used in a VBCW scenario!
