Really good week this week gaming wise.  :-bd

A midweek game of Pike and Shotte with Nick B, some time spent re-reading Hail Caesar and Black Powder and plans laid for games over the coming few weeks.

Today I managed to finish the basing of my Shingle Street Bobbies and Gentleman's Club and I have made a start on basing all of my 28mm Commando's ahead of Chain of Command being released later in the month.

My Dads Army Foundry Figs are undercoated and are next on my painting schedule.

Downside is nothing now until next week as I'm on night's all weekend. Thankfully I am still in the honeymoon period where dealing with drunks is still funny... :)

Ready for CoC ;)

Those are nice, mate - they're really clean though...I thought you liked down & dirty  ;D :D ;) :D ;D

Nosher

1.  Commando's all based up and 'ready to rumble'

2.  Made a start of ploughing through 70 more krauts that need their bases finished. Just flocking to go after allowing PVA/sand mix to go off. Hope to have these completed by tommorow evening.

3.  Then its onto the LDV/Dads Army figures next.

All in good time for Chain of Command :)

Finished basing the krauts and also got around to putting the finishing touches to a Churchill, a Cromwell and three Universal Carriers.

The LDV got shelved for another day because I got sidetracked by Where Eagles Dare..

Pics of the British Armour

Pics of the Wehrmacht Command

Pics of some 6mm odds and ends needed for a Battlegroup Kursk game in a few weeks time

Shelving the Home Guard until I see what CoC is like and going to move onto some seriously neglected 10mm ECW/TYW for a change of scenery

Very nice - but those 28s are *far* too clean - get some mud chucked on 'em  ;)

More CoC stuff - this time support transport and firepower for my Panzergrenadiers

Hertsblue

Very nice too. The little half-track armoured cars are always useful.  :-bd
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Progress on my lead mountain to date - details at http://nosherswargames.blogspot.co.uk/

It makes grim reading, however in my defence, I have got loads of 28mm stuff done this year and have had three months out of the eight months to date where I wasn't able to touch anything due to work.

Slow progress is progress none the less mate  ;)

Real life, how dreaded it is, always interferes, we just have to live with it i suppose.

Nice half-tracks nosher - are those the resin ones or the plastics?

Nosher

They are resin. I had them before they released the new ones however I did pick up a 251/10 in plastic at the club last night and it is very nice.

With club discount and buying from a local retailer whose a club member I got the 251/10 and a Puma for £30 and no postage. Feeling pretty pleased about that :D

Cool - nicely done  8)

Nosher

One 251/10 and a Puma assembled, undercoated and first base colour applied!

Amazing what a spiced rum and coke or two can inspire on a tired eveining after work!

The Sdkfz251/10, the Puma and the PzIV are all done as are three of five factions for In Her Majestys Name. Servants of Ra, Black Dragon Tong and Society of Thule.

Next up Dead Man's Hand Lawmen and Desperado's followed by Lord Curr's Company and Scotland Yard for IHMN.

I spent half an hour reviewing my Lead Mountain progress since August and can report about 1% progress :(

Sadly I can't see this changing anytime soon as were now into 'silly season' with lots of hurty knees, coughs and colds and other minor ailments that end up as blue-light responses thanks to inappropriate 111 poorly triaged rubbish.  =)

I intend to create a new diary in 2014 which is a bit more trackable. Thankfully my spending power is a lot less than it was which means my mountain has still receded and is more of a hillside now ;D
