Hi

I was looking for a Tramp Steamer-ish ship to use for a scenario, looked at what was available and decided after checking the change down the back of the sofa that I couldn't afford them. I then came across a simple card model of the US Coast Guard tender 'Lilac' that I thought might fit the bill. I rescaled it to 1/150 and I've shrunk it down so I can fit it into the attachments.

Not a great model but if anybody's looking for a quick cheap ship it's here  :), I've scaled it print out on A4 each sheet, Letter size shouldn't be too much different. Incidentally I've changed the name from Lilac to Siricco (captained by Eric Flynn, Captain Blood, Sweat and Tears - scourge of the Crimson Permanent Assurance). First page appears below:-

Good spot, Grumpy. It could probably be detailed and/or slightly modified into various useful vessels. "Q" ships spring to mind.  ;)
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Hello James

I've printed one out on card and, for an experiment,  I'm also getting some OHT ink-jet transparency sheets to see how it comes out there. Might hold their shape/creases better.

The ones I posted here were about 1/150, so I've just put them onto a page with 2 copies. So print it out on an A4 or you could snip half of it and print it on A5.

marvellous that man ! Bit of transport for my Norwegian Special Forces.... Thank you sir!

Just bn checking around - ship is 173' 4" LOA, so scales to 16-17 cm in 1/300th. The one you have done is approximatly 1/600th in smaller size - and may be 1/200th for the larger one. 1/150 should be 34 cm long.

Nice spot though.

Thanks

well, just printed it out on card, and the doors are exactly 6mm high, and the hull is 122mm long, so is defo not 1/600, might be a tad below 1/300 but good enough for our purposes  :)

Hi sultanbev

What a stunning piece of misdirection!!! No one expects special forces disembarking from Priscilla of the High Seas  ;D ;D. It's really annoying when you only run out of one colour  =). Imagined images of myself thrashing my printer with a tree branch Fawlty Towers style keep springing into my head  ;D ;D.

As to the size of the ship, I just resized it so that it fitted my needs as roughly 1/150 and thought people might like to share. I really didn't have any need for an accurately scaled lighthouse tender. The original link is here http://rocketmantan.deviantart.com/art/Coast-Guard-Ship-Lilac-Papercraft-325532028 if people want to reorganise it.
