Hi Just wondering what ranges you would recommend for the Mexican American war of 1842.
I've been looking at someof the 19th Century ranges. Maybe the Danish 1848... what is the difference between kepi and hat in these ranges?  What about the 1866 Saxons? ... Any recommendations?
What about US Cavalry?

For the Mexicans I guess anything from Peninsular Brits, Austrian Grenzers, will do. I think the Bolivian Cuirassier Lancers would look interesting too, next to some Franco Mexican lancers with Sombreros.

Any suggestions welcome!
Thanks

im not sure on Mexican American War but for the Alamo you can use the militia and riflemen American AWI range and 1809 French naps for the Mexicans

Grenadeiers of The Supreme Power wore bearskin lids so French Guard or  Spanish grenadeiers would stretch nicely...

After that brief 'fruitful' interlude.

There might be difficulties with the American figures. All the figures in peaked cap are, as far as I know, wearing boots as opposed to full length trousers.
