Started the penultimate code for the next Warband army. (Actually, I stuck some of the wee chaps on corks, last thing yesterday afternoon.)
Finished the tweaks & soldering 15 feeds on the last two codes. (Soldering feeds is a job that's a pain......But today it went really well.....Must be down to the extra arm I've stitched on.  ;))

O Dinas Powys

Started prepping my desert rats earlier this week  :)

Evil crab-walkers and robo-soldiers primed and some base coated  :D

Having a wobble about how to base them now, was going to do squad bases, might go for 25mm round bases with a couple of figures then use sabot bases for squad type stuff  :-\

Decisions, decisions...  :-/

Cheers!

Half (15 figures) of the new code well under way.
Nine of these all but done, apart from a tiny bit of cleaning up to do on three of them.

Anyone got a suggestion for a Samurai camp?  :-\

O Dinas Powys

Good news: great progress on my Robots of Death and attack drones  :D

Bad news: Crab Walkers ruined when I flooded them with spray paint ~X(
Tried using the upside-down aerosol to spray off the excess paint trick, but all to no avail :'(

Wacked them in Dettol whilst still soggy, so hopefully I'll be able to strip the paint adequately for a second go... :-SS

Fingers crossed!

WORK FASTER
:-*......Shan't !
Still got loads of fantasy to do, as well.

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Samurai batch done, plus two generals.

Question: other samurai painters, are your units 'regular' ie looking the same, not bowel movements, or 'irregular' and multi coloured?
All the Renaissance Japanese sources have different armour, but modern reenactors in photos have similar armour?  :-\

Apart from the Ii Red Devils, I have my samurai (and monks) in varied positions and colour schemes; ashigaru are uniform.
It is worth remembering that those pretty woodblocks are not contemporary records: they mainly date to the 19th century, so are hardly super-authoritative sources.

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Thanks mate.
The exact opposite of where I'm headed with mine! All my ashugari are individuals and the samurai are going to be uniform! ;)
