This I gotta see!
Always fancied doing one myself...just as an exercise in elephant painting you understand, nothing at all to do with the ostentatiousness of such a singularly dramatic command base.  :)

That's a model I look forward to seeing.

I know Kublai Khan was a large lad - but four elephants?

Well, if you got, flaunt it as they say...and as he had it he flaunted it -big style. It was a command platform spread across the backs of four elephants so that he could see and be seen. (Probably had his own personal instant-flush toilet at the back.)

Just looked this up; couldn't believe it was actually real :o

On a more possibly frivolous note, have you any intention of making Kublai Khan's four elephant command position?

Four elephants will set you back £9, a single general + command elephant £4.50 - so... a little bit north of a tenner at a guess?

The beauty of 10mm :D

Now, in 28mm...

Plus the howdah!  The Wiki P drawing looks rather grand; £16 quid or so I'd have thought  :-\

Still, damned fine centre piece  ;)

In 28mm it would require two men to lift it and a reinforced table, I think....
