Something we share then FK.

Sadly my tastes are so catholic and my interests change so rapidly that, even restricting myself to armies I can get all the required figures for (by purchase or conversion) I have a house full of unpainted armies :(

Reminds me of my music-buying. Having bought the Brilliant Classics complete J. S. Bach, I will listen to the whole set. No hardship on the whole - couldn't be further from one - but not all the cantatas are up to the standard of the b-minor mass....
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

I tried playing snap with bicycles but found them very heavy to lift and turn and an absolute nightmare to shuffle.

That's hard core! All JS Bach? Good luck with that. Send us a review in about 2027!

I likes me Bach, but I'm more of a Purcell man, and I have s strong leaning to yer Vivaldi. Cranked out a good tune did Viv.

Camo pattern on Sci-Fi marines.
I've got at least five colours, stopped tonight after three as in going bozz-eyed!
Got to say, while the old sculpts are full of character, but lack the detail and crispness of the new sculpts. Good work Techno. 8)

Done apart from basing. Once I was past the cammo stage they were a lot of fun.
Even put red points on pulse rifles ammo counters.  :-[

May I resurrect an old saw of this forum and ask if we may have photographs, because "pictures sell"? That and I can never seem to get good SF camo.

Mine are based on ignoring Ridley Scott's 'Aliens' film.
Will post piccies when done.

I think my problem is that I think - "distant planets. Plant life may not be based on chlorophyll. The light will not have the same wave length as ours" and try a colour scheme that makes my space marine a cross between Darth Vader and a Pride march. Think Aztec with less feathers.

Back to the GNW now after a frenzied fortnight of building 10mm Japanese bunkers for the SELWG game. First battalion of the Moskovski regiment now based and ready for flocking and flagging. Only problem - this particular regiment had three battalions, instead of the usual two.

:(

I seem to have spent all my gaming time (which really isn't much at the moment anyway) prepping figures: so, I've now assembled:

Royalists & Rebels for Monmouth Rebellion
Ottomans (Renaissance)
WW1 EW Germans & Brits - both mine & a painting commission

Still need to assemble:
Polish (Renaissance)
1809 French & Austrian reinforcements (picked up unexpectedly as a gaming friend's attention has wandered...)
My Secret Project

Then it'll be texturing the bases. Yawn.

Steve J

Work has got in the way of figure painting over the last week, so have been making some 28mm scenery for IHMN. Hope to return to figure painting later this week though.
