... as the Dremel slipped, and Techno did cry "B****cks" (VERY LOUDLY) as he first destroyed half a face ...

and verily, he did give up making wee men for the Dark Lord in Middle Borough, and returned to his first love. Then Mrs T found out, so he took to musical theatre ...

I seem to remember Frank Spencer being even more accident prone, than yours truly.
But did he ever actually injure himself ?  ;)

Another 15 Later Romans done tonight. Shields took an hour by themselves!  :-B @-) That will teach me to try and paint accurate Notitia Dignitatum shields!

Just found LBM shield transfers, but actually, I like the idea of my shields being hand drawn by some poor legionary on punishment duty!
Wonder if they ever used templates?
Then again, as far as we know, the N.D. is a copy of a copy of a copy... Who knows how accurate, or even truthful it is?

Hot, sweaty bad - greasing up metal so paint won't stick.

Isn't that a bit counter-productive on figures?

8 equites Illyricani. 4 equites Sagittarii, two command figures painted as Illyiricani tonight.
The main upshot of this is Leon is going to get a very random and scattered order (4 of this figure, 5 figures of that) after pay day!

Minor panic at Techno Towers, when the Dremel suddenly didn't want to play. (At ALL)

Check this, check that....Soon pinned it down to the brushes, which had almost worn away to nothing.
No probs, I thought.....I know I bought some spares.....AGES ago.

After 5 minutes of frantic searching in drawers.....I thought...."Did I put them somewhere really sensible....Such as the Dremel's case ?"
Deep joy....And Dr Emel is back reaming away again.

9 (yes 9, I ran out of figures) Auxilia done tonight, a welcome boost to Cohors III Nervionium, attested to be at Maryport in the C3rd AD, but noted as being at Lancaster in the Notitia Dignitatum

There were Native Americans involved in a number of the smaller actions in the Southern Campaign of the AWI.

Some sources suggest they were present at some of the larger actions as well, e.g. Catawbas supporting Lee at the New Garden Quaker Meeting House before Guilford Courthouse

The numbers of Catawbas dropped so low that the Federal government "terminated" them as a tribe in 1959 :(

They managed to get re-recognised in 1993 and now number a few thousand
