P.S. Anyone got photos of the VM10 and VM11 machine gunners, any chance of using these for VC/NVA LMG?

If you've got any spare figures, do one using a pin instead of glue, and send it back to us.  If it's OK, we can look at moulding it!

Yay! Err wait, did you say using a pin on something this tiny? I'd amagine odds of self-inflicted injury would be higher than those of success ;)

If no-one has any pics of those, I'll get some sorted out.

You'd need to drill small holes in the head and body and put a small piece of wire in, just to make it more solid.  Glue/putty on it's own isn't strong enough and it would break during the moulding process.  If it was something you fancied doing, you'd need some master figures from us to work with.

I'll give it a bash with the figures I've got and see if I'm up to the job.

V10, looks like an NVA soldier with foliage on his helmet.

V11 bare headed lying down with LMG.  Usable for either VC or NVA if you ask me.

I've done one that's pinned and it seems to have worked all right.  I just need to get a wee bit of green stuff to give him a neck rather than a bit of paper clip.

Do you really need it done with a master figure. that's not what you suggested in a previous post and I'm not sure i rate my chances of getting it acceptably right twice in a row.

I've turned V10 in to a British civil war S.London communist with Bren gun, looks okay.

The reason for using a master figure is that when a figure is moulded you get shrinkage, so the castings are smaller than the original.  So if we moulded the one you've done, it could be a mm smaller than the rest of the range.  Probably not an issue for most, but could be for some.  Send it up to us and we'll have a look, it would only take up a small space in a mould anyway, so we'll stick it in and see how it comes out.

Address on website?  FAO Leon?

If the thing shrinks too much I'll happily have another go using masters.

Yeah, the address on the website is fine, FAO Leon or Dave.  We'll pop it in a mould and see what happens.
