Picked up my first ever tens at Carronade on Saturday.  Nice figures and I'm particularly impressed by the price and how easy they are to paint.

These are my VC local force using VNM2, VM3 & VC2, I'll be using them with the upcoming "Charlie Don't Surf" rules from Toofatlardies..

I've  a couple of mistakes in the online catalogue though.  VC3 is listed as "Riflemen kneeling firing rifle bush hat ", though the actual figure is wearing a helmet.  Similar with V5, that "M-79 grenadier bush hat " listed in the catalogue is definately wearing a helmet.

And the range just doesn't seem complete without NVA, VC and Americans carrying LMGs or lying down firing them using the bipod.

Cheers for letting us know about the descriptions Derek, I've changed those on the site now.  Apologies for the confusion.

I've also added those suggestions to the lists.

Good stuff Derek - glad you're enjoying 10mm  8)

Your figures look nice - I think you could bring out some more detail with a simple ink / 'magic' wash - it'll really make them 'pop'...

First go at NVA.  I think I'll do future ones in a slightly lighter green and wash to bring out the detail.  These ones have had too many coats of paint, but I'm really rather happy with the bases.

And now the US.  I'm happier with these - beginning to get the hang of tens.

That advancing guy has got a bigger head than the standing ones.

Finished my first platoon.  VC local Force.

Nice stuff indeed!

Derek H

Can anyone tell me what the figure on the right here is?   It came from a Vietminh Indo-China Army Pack

slinky

great stuff Derek ;D

Leon

I believe it's VM5 - Bo Dai Phuong, Thompson SMG, bush hat.  Although it says 'running' on the website which I'll be changing!

I've been using heads from V3 Rifleman walking and putting them on to AV11, Australian with M60.

It's not too difficult, just how long would it take a sculptor to do the same job to produce a much needed figure for the Vietnam range?    :) :) :)

Derk G

Now if there's a hint for the sculptors I must have missed it ;)

Good job, may have to do the same.

So how about a VC with LMG? Any ideas anyone?

Leon

If you've got any spare figures, do one using a pin instead of glue, and send it back to us.  If it's OK, we can look at moulding it!
