Some piccies from a game I played the other night, Pendraken figures on the old Space Hulk board using Chain Reaction 2.0 from Two Hour Wargames.

The objective was to infiltrate the xenoform-infested underground complex, locate the nest and destroy it with explosive charges. We played it through twice, the first time the marines got wiped out, in the second it went down to a cinematic ending with the lieutenant facing down the last two xenoforms in the corridor leading to the nest and taking them out in a tense close combat.
:o

I wouldn't open that door if I were you...

I told you!

Nope  :D

Actually, I really don't sleep very much at all: I had a life-changing moment aged about 10 with a truly inspirational teacher who said to us as a class that we could reasonably expect to live to be aged 75 (this in about 1980) - to which we nodded; he then pointed out that if we slept 8 hours a night that we'd therefore spend a minimum of 1/3 of our life - 25 years - unconscious  :o

f*** that - I'm not sleeping my way to death...so I retrained myself to get 2-4 hours / night: and about every 6 months or so I'll crash & get 8 hours...

Good value I reckon - and I get so much more done with my life  :) 8)

I think sleep's over-rated, at least this needing 8 hours stuff. I usually get by on 5-6 hours, like you say it gives more time to do stuff! :)

The good thing for me is I usually wake up at least and hour or two before anyone else in my house, so it's downstairs, whack the coffee machine on for a cappuccino and painting time! I've bagsied space in front of the window in the utility room as a permanent painting area so I'm good to go.  :) ;D

Those old Hulk tiles look great with the Pendraken figs, shame I got rid of all my old Space Hulk stuff (then went and bought the "limited edition" a couple of years ago), the new tiles look a lot less generic.

Great report! Nice to see the marines in action!
T)hat's how i used to work, 5 hours with 9 til midnight painting, unfortunately my two month old has decided that will be here active patch!
The shift to morning painting just isn't happening!

Good stuff SJ !
Cheers -Phil.
Sleep ?....I dream of getting a solid 8 hours once in a while. 4 or 5 is the usual amount, thanks to the dogs deciding they need to go out at stupid o'clock each morning.

I have the opposite with my dogs, the laziest lurcher and poodle in the world! Left by themselves they stay in bed all morning! I-)
We tried an experiment once and left them alone, they showed up for breakfast and a pee in the garden at 11:30 :-w

At least dogs can't readily climb! No table is safe from a kitty with an attitude.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.
