Hello, I just want to introduce you mi favourite warband (I try to put photos).

Here is the big boss:

Here are the archers:

Goblins with spears:

... And the wolfriders walking down the hill, ready for the battle:

Sorry, I'm not a great "painter"  :-[ But I'm very "entousiasthic". I hope you like it  :D

Great! nothing wrong with your painting, I like it! I think is quite good.

Which ruleset do you use?

I like the scenic too

Thank you jchaos79. It's my first 10mm army and I love it. When I play wargame (skirmish) I like to use this system:

It's very simple (I'm lazy, and my english is quite bad) but I think very complete and fun. If you know more rules sets that I can use please tell me. See you later  :)

I know some, but never try them. Red Sand Blue Sky seems quite good (as far as I heard).

I play warmaster mainly, and I recommend it if you like the masses battles.

Goblin Warchief

Hi. Yes I know Warmaster (very good - and free -), but I only have a small troup of Goblins and a small troup of Dwarves. Very good for skirmish but short for masses battles  :(. See you later  :)

Very nice Warchief, very nice  8)

Might be worth looking at the Games Workshop Lord of the Rings game: the skirmish mechanic is good & fast: you should be able to grab one of the older rulebooks pretty cheaply too now [they've put everything into one big hardback book now]

Thanks nikharwood, good idea  :)

You're welcome  :)

If you look for the Return of the King book, those are pretty much the latest rules...the source book for Shadow & Flames is focused on Moria - so Dwarves & Goblins...

Looking at eBay quickly now, these seem to be going for about GB£5 or so...with the big hardback book going for GB£10-15 or so...

hi Goblin Warchief,

Your painting, and especially your Goblins put me to shame.... fantastic stuff and very impressive.

*How DO you do it*

Six :-)

Goblin Warchief

Hello Sixsideddice. I'm not used to paint 10mm, and this Goblin warband are the first Pendraken 10mm miniatures that I painted. So I use the same basics technics than for 28mm (light, shadow, ink wash...). I'm glad you like it  :)

sixsideddice

Wow, even more impressive to hear these were your first....  I take my hat off to you, and wish I could match your obvious skill with a brush.

Great looking work! Thank you for the inspiring images, and be sure to post photos of any new warbands you create!

Great tabletop minis. :)
Keep on this way ! ;)

If you're looking for a deeper set of rules, I recommend you the famous "Song of Blades and Heroes" engine.
The main book has been translated in French and the system is really good for skirmish.

A "battle game" based on the engine is on its way.

Or you could try the Warengine too although the system is mainly designed for modern/sci-fi background.

Thanks Perno, I'll have a look  :)
