How about more vehicles for Vietnam.  And Cobra gun ships!

Leon

We'll add them to the list, but we've got a lot of busy designers at the moment so couldn't give you any idea of if/when they'll get done.
www.pendraken.co.uk - Now home to over 10,000 products, including nearly 5000 items for 10mm wargaming, plus MDF bases, Battlescale buildings, I-94 decals, Litko Gaming Aids, Militia Miniatures, Raiden Miniatures 1/285th aircraft, Red Vectors MDF products, Vallejo paints, Tiny Tin Troops flags and much, much more!

Riverine monitors too please, as I would be keen to then go full hog on Vietnam stuff , but at the moment the lack of choppers and boats is limiting what I'm prepared to buy. Don't forget that TooFatLardies are bringing out "Charlie Don't Surf" rules this year, and with the FOW Vietnam coverage I reckon this is a good time to sell stuff for this period.
Unlike some people, I feel under no obligation to pretend that only one war-gaming scale is true, and that any others 6mm/10mm/15mm/25mm are mistaken; or that I know better than people themselves what is right for them to use. The point is precisely for all war-gamers to decide for themselves.

I'd get some riverine stuff too...to go with my lovely Pendraken 'Nam stuff...

We've got a boat somewhere nearly ready for release, I haven't got the details of it with me at the moment.  Is it a Saipan or something like that?

How about a mark5 Centurian tank for the Austrailians

There are noticeable holes in the Vietenam range with no LMGs for the VC/NVA or US.  The MGs on tripods that are in the range do not reflect normal use.

To complete the range  we could do with M60s for the US and RP46s for the VC  and NVA.

Either carrying or firing prone would be good.

Also very useful would be US medics, Artillery observers  and radio operators.

I used the Aussie standing with M60 in both my Aussie & US forces - he's wearing a bush hat so he's portable  8)

In fact, I've used all the Aussies with US weaponry in this way - gives variety...

Still waiting for my samples to make my decision. But agree on MGs needing carried/firing from bipod versions, I'm pretty sure they did not lug the tripod into the bush, and even on the defensive I don't come across it being used much in 'Nam. I like the sound of Derek's other ideas too.

With Charlie Don't Surf due out on May 31st, and the sample figures still underway, I'm sure I will have more suggestions in a short while.

That might be better than using the tripod mounted M60s but I'd question how often the troops in a single unit wore different headgear.

From looking at pictures online it looks to me like the US troops in a unit all wore either the helmet or the hat.  I've found pictures where some soldiers are wearing the helmet and others are bare headed, but if pictures where both hats and helmets are being worn they're few and far between as I've not come across any in several hours of looking (Cue someone with hundreds of examples of just this happening).

It looks to me like the headgear worn may have been subject to unit orders or standard operating procedures.

Anyway some people prefer consistency to variety :-)

I take it you're Derk from the toofatlardies Yahoo Group?

I'm meant to be be playtesting your fantasy rules but have been massively diverted by all this Vietnam stuff.  I ordered six books yesterday after discovering just how cheap second hand titles are on Amazon.

Whilst waiting for your samples you might want to take a look at the pictures I've posted at http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=590.0

I'm still working on colour schemes, so some of those figures have more layers of paint than is good for them.

I've been looking around the Interwebs looking for information on Boonie Hats and it seems they were mostly used by Special Forces tropops, but were issued to other units after 1967.

They may have beeen used by normal infantry units later in the war, but I still haven't found any photos of mixed headgear in a picture.

One and the same! I'll look forward to your comments on This One's Split (http://thisonesplit.blogspot.com) when you do get around to it!

I already noticed the pictures, nice work. Can't wait to look at the actual miniatures with my own eyes. I'm curious how much more detail I'll be able to get on 10mm than on 6mm.

And the simple answer to that question is "lots!"  8)
