That's a nice stable. Will it be available for purchase at some point?

Looking good Michael.
Have you seen the Timecast one? It's a real monster!

I haven't seen a TimeCast 10mm one. Do they produce one? I've seen pics of the 6mm one. The only 10mm Essling granary I know is the pretty basic Old Glory one selling at £15.50.

The Timecasts one is 6mm, Mark was muttering about doing the 10mm one, but at 6mm it's still big!
1:400 scale... Even they downscaled!!!

Nice work, Michael!  Some months ago I was having a go at reproduicng one of the opening engagements of the Austro-Prussiian War of 1866, at Podol. I wanted to do it using a large figure ratio, and  Pendraken figures to tryout the tactical formations in use at the time.As it was a small engagement, I ended up using a 1:10 figure ratio and battalions of 24x4 figure bases, and 1inch to 25yds ground scale. there was a granary of this type at one end of the village which became a storng point, unfortunately it no longer exists. I went to Timecast hoping to use their Granary thinking it wa 10mm scale.  i had forgotten how big these buildings really are, as they told me it was actually 6mm scale!
its dimensions are 90mm x 50mm footrpint, and 45mm high to the highest point of the roof.  it is a lovely model, but I dont think I could have accommodated a qomm version of it.

Really looking forward to seeing the finished version of Essling.

old smokie

awesome buildings   :-bd

are these buildings going to be for sale  =P~

WeeWars

Sounds like the TC 6mm version has the same footprint as mine! So you can go 10mm, if you prefer. Any bigger and I think the model would have to have open windows and floors for skirmish gaming. Already it's pushing the groundscale but still looks something like the actual building and is relatively large compared to the other buildings in the village. The actual Schloss is also a very large building. But not so tall.

Old Smokie, Yes, everything 10mm I'm blogging I can have a go at doing for Pendraken people. Feel free to pester me.

Cheers, Michael

I went with  6mm, as I usually do with  my 10mm  figures. i only really consider 10m buildings when my ground scale gets around or below 25yds to the inch, and figure scale 1:10 or below. My norm is 50yds to the inch and 1:20 figure scale.
