A question for those of you who have snow terrain - did you may trees pre-snowed, or byuy normal trees and snow them yourself?

I've just ordered a bunch of winter Eastern Front figures, and will need some terrain to go with them - principally fir trees and Russian houses...

I usually powder them myself, as you can find few pre-snowed ones.
Woodland Scenics sells some, but they are way too expensive.  :-\

I will stand, or I will fall. But I will not sit.

They are indeed!

I've found some trees I'd forgotten I'd had, so they'll end up bneing protptypes :)

The little fir trees they use as cake decorations sometimes come "snowed". They tend to be cheap and cheerful if you need lots.

Wrong time of the year, of course...  :(
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

How I 'snowed' my Russian Eastern Front terrain can be found here if you're interested. Nice and simple method... using the finest resin scenery and trees  ;)

Cool - thanks for that! :)

That winter terrain looks great Blaxkleric. Is 'Citadel Snow' the best snow effect? Often wondered about about doing snow on bases.

I use a mix of Woodland Scenics Snow [bought some about 10 years ago & it's still only about a quarter empty], PVA, white paint & water - mix it up & splodge it on with an old brush...once it's nearly dry, give it a shake of pure snow on top. You can see the effect here:

And on some smaller figures:

Nice job. Yes, I might have to give snow a go for my forthcoming Arthurians...
