Neat, but it looks like we've got the Leopards of England (twice), the Lion of Scotland and the harp of Ireland, what happened to the Welsh?

Specifically on this...or just generally :D

These are the Royal Coat of arms and, if I recall correctly, ever since Henry VIII was gracious enough to allow the Welsh into the English county system, there has been no recognition of Wales in the British Royal Arms. Plus, of course, it is only a Principality, whereas England, Scotland and Ireland were all Kingdoms!   Ducks for cover!  :D

Don't recognise that one, Lemmey.  I was referring to the 1535/6 and 1542/3 Laws in Wales Acts which abolished the Marcher Lordships, completed the county-isation of Wales, and gave it representation in the Parliament at Westminster for the first time. Have I missed something?

As a Marches born and bred lad we are unavoidably inherently anti welsh (not the people I might add - although some are funny buggers) I love nothing better than seeing the welsh get stuffed at any sport (Saturday's rugby was glorious). Probably about as much as the leek munchers a stones throw away love seeing us noble English humbled.

Yep, me too! I seem to remember reading somewhere that the "broken shield" design was thought up by a schoolboy.
