This is apparently at least a couple of years old....But it made me chuckle.

The question:
Name six animals that live specifically in the Arctic.

The Answer (as written)

2 Polar Bears.
Three Four Seals.

Cracking answer really...It didn't ask actually ask for different animals.
Cheers - Phil.

The funniest bit is that he/she was about to write three Polar bears. Or was that you, Phil?  ;D

No Ray.

That was on the answer (crossed out).....And I think that is the funniest bit.
As tho' it was 2 + 3 = 6.....Oh... no it doesn't !..... I'd better change that to 4.

In truth, I'm not sure I could name six for sure without looking it up !
Polar Bears....Yup !
Seals ?.....Is that really totally right ?
Reindeer..... Fairly confidant on that one !
Father Christmas....Yeah...I'll have him.
Killer Whales....Do they count ?
Moose....Or are they the same as reindeer ?
Lemmy's favourite animals....They live inside the Arctic circle, don't they ?
Some species of wolf ?
Ermine ?
Mammoths...No perhaps not.

I shouldn't have mocked should I ?

Cheers - Phil.

By specificaly does the question mean exclusively?  If so there are probably very few as (having seen the latest David Attenborough prog) most seem to move in and out of the arctic as the seasons change and many animals have ranges which include the arctic.

For my 6 I'd go for Polar bear, Arctic fox, lemming, musk ox, reindeer and caribou

Techno

Dan....
I don't know quite what the 'exam board' would have meant by specifically.....I imagine it doesn't mean exclusively.
Like you say, a lot of animals would tend to wander in an out according to the time of year.

I'm not going to look it up... But are Caribou the same as moose ?
Hooray !...you said Lemmy's lemmings too.

Arctic fox....Good man !....Isn't there an arctic hare too. ?

Cheers - Phil.

nikharwood

Arctic fox eh? This one any good?  ;) ;D :D

Techno

Coo....
It must be cold where she is...One of the buttons on her glove has fallen off !....
Or has she got an Anubis glove puppet on her right hand ?  ;)
Either that, or she's attempting the famous deformed rabbit !  ;D.....No...definitely Anubis.
Cheers - Phil.

Chad

Obviously from that list the Japanese Kamikazi lemming must be the only one that attempts to fly off cliffs for a hobby!
:D

Techno

Oh per-lease...
Don't tell me another species, apart form homo sapiens, has taken up extreme sports....
That's evolution for you, I suppose  ;)
Cheers - Phil.

Wood Lemming (Myopus schisticolor)

This one is obviously shortsighted and presumably has to break out the brown trousers when it misses the cliff edge!   ;)
