It would be fun to try some troops with different motivations (like capturing prisoners for sacrifice).

Since it was Daves first game I rather generously gave him  victory to keep him interested in medieval wargaming.

Hi All

Really Enjoyed my first game, all told it was a cracker! Looked a bit hairy at first when my Knights got a pasting. But then my good old Irish saved the day with a spectacular Flank charge on the Yorkist Pikemen! Victory Lancaster...But the war continues!

Any idea where to find the warmaster medieval rules?    :(

Well, yes, since you suggest them, I'd be willing to lend my vote there,

They are published by Warhammer Historical but appear to be out of print. the WM medieval rules were mainly army lists with a few medieval rules, so if you can get hold of Warmaster Ancients you will be good to go. But WMA also seems to be out of stock.

The only good news is that WM fantasy is available as a free Download.
