Hey! Oh wow you've leapt right into the new technologies, huh? Forum and all!
Great work guys!
Now my suggestion/request (call it what you will...and I appreciate it's mostly a dream which will never come true due to the hassle of putting it all together for the manufacturer) concerns that lovely picture of the key fantasy figures on the homepage. Yup, that one that looks so cool with the dwarf with the well defined muscles, the wizard in his red cape, the henchmen, the Elven hero...
Now how cool (and useful for moi as I hope many others...even if merely as a little side "one off afternoon project") if Pendraken sold a sampler of its fantasy range with a figure from every code?
LOL! Yeah I know it's not going to happen but you could maybe consider it as a super-special Xmas 2010 deal or something. For a limited time only one of every code for GBP25 + postage. Then you'd test the market, see if it's viable, if there's interest...
Like "10mm RPG SPECIAL" - where for say GBP 10 or 20 or whatever you get one figure from each code which, let's be honest, adds up to a lot of figures for an individual to order but if like me you're also a gamer would just be amazing to get hands on.
I've personally never used Pendraken's figures for RPG (no wait...I do sci-fi with them, my bad! But Fantasy RPG would be a lot more widespread I reckon) but I certainly would (purchasing extras surely of the figures I need larger quantities of than one)
I'd love to have 11 different Goblin figures (totally different ones, one for each code) to RPG a scenario or a skirmish force and would certainly buy the range in a heartbeat.
But I don't really have much use for 1 x General, 2 x hobgoblins, 2 x bat swarms, 1 x giant spider, 6 x riders, 6 x warwolves and (actually these I might....) but 45 x foot does me little to no good as an RPG player. That's for people who field armies and I, well, don't. If I field 10 of a figure that's heaps and heaps. HEAPS! But 10 Goblins, to stay on the example, all the same just kills it for me. 10 Goblins made of a mix of the bow, club, spear and sword led by the command figure on a chariot...now that I can dig!
Believe me, I know it's impossible to do but this is a request page, right?
So my request is for Pendraken to market its entire fantasy range to the RPG community and I'll bid GPB20 on a fair price for it
Heck I'd even buy the dungeon sets to go with them just for a laugh and a little project to put together over a couple of weekends (I'm doing plastic spaceships at the moment so don't think I wouldn't)
Hope your van's back on track after the Phalanx incident and you're all well
Peace
S.

Hi S, good to hear from you.  The idea of a kind of 'sample' pack is something I've thrown around a few times, maybe not the size you're talking about, but say 10 figures from a particular line, for £1.50 or so.  I'll have a think about it, and we might be able to do something along those lines.

The Dungeon Set is almost ready, complete with rules, I'll be finishing it off this weekend hopefully.

How did you get on with those Orcs and Heavy Weapons?

The call of 10mm has been heard by my ears. The need for heroes, anti-heroes (pending on perception) and assorted NPC's has been awakened in my heart. My wallet is open, yet I  must close it, for what I seek cannot be found...

Down to Business. Here is my wish list for fantasy rpg, for what ever rules work for you.

The List:
Heroes (not necesarily one but an assortment ranging from gallant to rogue)
Anti Heroes (ranging from not gallant to down right naughty)
Villagers (Farmers, Smiths, Inn keepers, you know the type)
Witch Hunters, Religious Orders, etc.
Lackeys (for the above heroes and anti-heroes)

The historical and fantasy lines provide enough cannon fodder to provide for mass combat, alas the soldiers have nobody to go home to when all is said and done.

Please make it possible to make 10 mm the line where RPG, skirmish and mass combat can be had in one scale.

Thank you.

Hi,

I'd like to see a couple of new sculpts for you Fantasy Tribal Lizardmen range:

  • A giant frog-like figure, in a serene Buddha-like pose, maybe sitting on a floating throne?
  • Larger version Tribal Lizardmen, basically like your Troll figures, with clubs & boulders.

These would nicely fill a couple of holes in the range.

Thanks, Martyn

Thomas Trolljaeger

I think I can guess what you intend to do with it...

Raider4

Yeah, thanks. I did think about using the 15mm range, but they're armed with spears & swords. I need them a bit more primitive for what I have in mind.

Cheers, Martyn

League of the dayglow Aztec Empire.

FierceKitty

Also need fantasy range "Warriors of the Sun God". Could include Jaguar warriors, Eagle warriors, warrior priests, crocodile suit wearers, Cuachic veterans with flayed skin suits and Mohawks....ummm, I seem to be talking about an overdue historical range, don't I?
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

As it's fantasy you could add er maybe a priest sacrificing a victim ;D

League of the dayglow Aztec Empire.

Kesseki

Baby gimme one more vote, ...  for Werewolves  :P

Blaker

oooo  the HIVE from 100 Kingdoms done in 10mm  :o  That would be waaay too krazy awesome ;D  I would vote for something like them.  The Bugs in the Sci-fi range are great for the Starship Trooper type of games, but "The Hive" with medieval hand weapons and that flying wasps with riders would be great. Not to mention the range of minis FierceKitty was describing  8)

Truth be told...disastrous!
My in-house skills are much better in my mind than they are in the "lead"!
I mean they're not bad...but they're not good enough to present, either. Yet.
What can I say...I tried out a few, didn't like them (just didn't come out how they looked in my mind, really!), got upset with myself, ate lots of chocolate and moved on to other projects! Such as the glorious HOTT armies I ordered from you guys yesterday, which I eagerly await
LOL!
Soon, oh so soon, I'll give them another crack. Most of the minis I still have in the bag, don't worry. That said they're also been a move of my "games room" from my bedroom to my missus' spare room (she plays, too!)
It just takes more practice and patience than I can muster at present and it's a nice ongoing little project to dig my hands into from time to time.
When they're half decent I'll photograph them for you, and if I decide to give it another crack from scratch I'm happy to contribute a few bob to purchasing the raw figures to chop and slash away at
Regards
S.

Sandinista

Men range: Arabian Knights types - As well as Sinbad, lots of cavalry armoured/unarmoured, levy type infantry etc etc... this is not at all another plug for a mid-east renaissance range :P

jchaos79

Only for being sure: Werewolfs miniatures have my vote, as Andymix and Kesseki I also would like to build up a Norse army in the future :)

Doug

I too am after some more moastic figures, not only for fantacy but they would be good for Dark Ages and Medieval ranges.
