what do you use for your wargames table?

So what do you guys use?       In the past I had some 4x3 boards similar to those used for exhibition stands but they got in the way ( wife's way)

Have now got 4 of the 2x2 green tiles but they take up loads of room, tempted to just get some green material and lay it on the dining table.....

When we moved to our current house, I blagged a dedicated games room: it's actually a 20 foot x 20 foot double garage that will never see a car in it - ever 

This means that I've got plenty of storage for figures, terrain, books, paints etc etc etc - all in a carpeted room with power, lights, heating & my big feck-off stereo [not to mention my guitars  ] - it's my man-cave...

It also means that I've got a permanent table set up: which is actually an old noticeboard from work that was about to be skipped: solid wood surround & back - with a GW static grass mat glued to it: it measures 5.5 foot x 4 foot - I've got a variety of mats to chuck over it for different theatres. I've also got an end table to put game-aids etc on while I play, which means less clutter on-table.

Next thing in there will be a fridge for the beer - and then I'll never have to go in the house again

We're rather blessed at Durham Wargames Group having numerous tables that cover roughly 6x56' of space (plus a 'boardgame table and a library).

We have a mix of surfaces including 100's of 2x2' textured wooden tiles, and a variety of 6x4' textured 'mats' (see here for how we make them http://www.durhamwargames.co.uk/terrain/battlemat/index.asp)

We also have a mass of terrain for all manner of scales and periods...although there never seems to be precisely what you're after for the current battle!!!

i have a spare room in my house  i have got a 9ft x 4ft game board just busy doing some terrain at the moment.

Until we rebuild the conservatory (not likely in the short term) I use the dining room table with 2 6' x 2' boards with a green GW terrain mat.

I have a 3x6 desk that is usually a painting table.  Across it I place 3 4x6 sheets of MDF for games night.

I have a pasting table, I moved the hinges to the long side and covered it with grass flocked paper - a great size for 10mm games

I dont have one...we have enough clubs round here I can get one most days of the week
