Aye, i'm finding the lack of photos disturbing...

Apt given the blue-ray release this week!

Hehe...actually i am actually finding the lack of photos a real problem at the moment.  You see i'm putting together a 'non-standard' project and it would be really useful to see the various products to construct what fits my visual requirements.

'I need something that looks like X' is very difficult to do in browsing when i can't see your products.

I know, it's one of the top priorities at the moment, and I'm looking at some other ways of expanding the pic offering.

Really useful link there . I had a quick look at these in the 'flesh' at Colours and they are very nice.

Yeah i've got a bunch of the aliens and they paint up lovely.

Nice and simple too. 

Black undercoat.
Boltgun metal heavy overbrush.
Blue ink wash.

Jobs a good 'un.

Its a steady build project though so i've not put them on the table yet...

Is there a 'forum member solution' to the photo issue that might take some pressure of the chaps at PHQ?

What's needed is a bank of volunteers outside of PHQ who could paint one of each code. These specimens could then be sent back to PHQ for photos to be taken so that a catalogue of the whole collection could be uploaded to the website.

I dont mean the whole pack - just the composition, so if a pack of 30 figures includes three seperate poses those are painted. Its a big job but if enough volunteers came forward how long can painting three 10mm figures take?

I am quite happy to take on the medieval and dark ages ranges

Thanks for the offer chaps, it's certainly something we'd consider.  The major problem with that kind of solution, and it's a very hard one to broach without causing offence, is that sometimes the paintjob isn't quite up to a high enough standard?  We appreciate every single person who takes the time to put some life into our figures, so critique-ing someone's work in that manner is very hard to do. 

We have made some moves to have more painted pics, such as the LoA from Andy Mac (which will be shortly joined by a load of the AWI) and the Dungeon pieces done by Nik, and there are a couple more things being worked on as we speak.

Hmmm, I always thought my standard (when I actually try) was fairly reasonable, but the more I look at the work of others, the more I doubt my own efforts are `up there` with the big guns, if you follow me.

Knowing (at this stage) that my addled old fingers and eyesight simply can`t match the young `uns any more is just one of the reasons I decided to confine my own efforts to a private/home website where I can showcase my things without feeling too much under scrutiny or criticism for any lacking I may have at this painting lark
