actually 40k is an extremely tactical game - its just the tactics bear no resemblance to those that have ever or will ever be used on a battlefield.

my efforts....

those that paint eyeballs on 10mm and those who dont....

those that use movement trays and those who dont (i hate them!)....

those who play naval wargames with rules for individually targetted torpedos and those who are sane....
