I decided to do a post about my work area over on my blog http://chargebayonet.blogspot.com/2011/07/hobby-desk-well-corner-actually_05.html. Here's the main pic itself:

Please stop by and have a read if you like. And while you're at it, post a pic here of your work station!  :)

So nice, your desktop invite to tranquility.

I show you my desktop/workbench

When I lived with my brother, I used to have a restaurant tray with all the stuff, paints, brushes, etc... it was easy to to take the tray and place it in the top of a wardrope. When I liked to paint, just take the tray and you are painting in less than a minute. I recommend that for the people which can not have a static/regular place becasue they live in a crowded house. If you have to mount all the staff, it is very possible to not paint because man are lazy by nature  :P

Nice desk!  8)  I like how you have it by the window so as to take advantage of the natural light. Your notebook looks to be very well organized too. In my case, my notebook looks nothing like the clean desktop I work from. It is all tattered, and my handwriting is horrible!  ;D  I found your pointing out that man is naturally lazy to be quite funny. I definitely fit the description!  :D

I took a quick pic of the Pendraken desk but the lighting was awful!  I'll get another done.

This is my rather darker and messier desk! Believe it or not I only tidied up a week or so ago

Messy can be fine if production is still high! That would be the real gauge of it being a detractor or not. Mine may be neat, but my production is quite low. Thanks for sharing! :)

It'sa coming!  I just tried taking one on my phone and emailing it through, but that doesn't appear to have worked...

EDIT: And tried uploading direct from the phone, but it's not having that either...

There is organization amongst the clutter - honest. The workstation has a west facing window behind, so has optimized sunlight just after I get home from work, and I also use a daylight lamp on the desk. All I need now is someone with a steady hand to apply the paint as directed  ;)

Looks pretty organized to me wargamesbob  :)

I'm going to tidy up a bit before I take my pic... :-[

That's pretty nice actually, I like that.  The Vallejo racks are a handy touch.  8)

The racks are are great idea! I like the help you've contracted to paint your armies. Keeping the worker in your own house may raise the food bill but, saves on postage!  :D

I'd photo the desktop that I work on but i paint at the kitchen table, coffee table, work desk, floor or stood up at a work bench and have all my paints, brushes and basing materials in boxes that I carry around making me look like some sort of painting/hobby hobo lol

Been there! Usually after each completed project I do a tidy up, and it lasts about a day.....

Mine is the dining room table (taken by a webcam on teh laptop), but at the moment it's covered in  school work and I'm VERY VERY bored!   :'( :'( :'(
I usually paint late at night, when the Sainted Mrs Lemmey is trying to put the boss to bed!  :(
Giving up work and getting the paints out now, will post of a picture of what it really looks like later...   ;D

Is that the Hand of God telling you to paint?  :D

GordonY

I'm too ashamed to take a piccy of mine, its a 5 foot by 3 foot desk and the space available to paint in is smaller than an A4 page, the rest is covered in the general clutter of paint pots, tubs of this and that, and my 27 drawers of unpainted figures (there are more but theyre hidden in boxes in the cupboard)
