Pure Genius !

The designer of the Pendraken model ME32 Bristol fighter should get an award for pure genius.   If you work with biplanes in this fiddly scale, you know that the challange is the design of the struts.  Too weak and they do not bear the weight of the upper wing, too heavy and they look out of scale and spoil the apperance of the model.  Unlike model builders,  we game with them , and although we want them to 'look right' it is essential that they do not fall apart.

The designer of this model cast struts as invered ' U ' shaped lengths of whitemetal .  The ends of the U fit into slots in the bottom wing and the 'bottom'of the U is flat enought for 4 such struts to carry the load of the upper wing.  As I said, pure genius !

Leon, is it possible to cast me 16 of these little ' U' parts for my scratch building in next order ?

Yeah, no bother, just remind me when you place the order.  Glad you like the model as well!
