Author's notes here: http://www.warlordgames.co.uk/12352/the-last-argument-of-kings-authors-notes/

Worth a read....the campaign [for Jacobite '45 rebellion] might be worth a look...

My copy arrived today. 8) :D

Not had a chance to more than flick through it. Has a nice section on Ottomans and India along with some other useful bits.

Worth the money? Time will tell.

My copy arrived yesterday.

Only got as far as page 26, the battle of Blenheim, when I read the following "Prince Eugene with his 20,000 Austrians...".

Oh dear, where did they come from?

I stopped there and don't know if I want to read any further.

Chad

:(

Got mine this morning. Certainly it looks very pretty. Good to see Pendraken sneaks in with a lovley French SYW army in practically the last photo in the book!

Is the concern the numbers quoted or the fact that Eugene's army was labelled Austrian?

The fact that Eugene's army is labelled Austrian. It is completely misleading for anyone intending to use these rules as a starter for WSS. It would have been more appropriate to have at least labelled Eugene's forces as 'Imperial' as a minimum.

Is this bad research by the author or could he not be bothered with accuracy?

Also the army lists dating from 1700 could give the impression from their rating that Hussars were both more prevalent and effective during the WSS than available information would have us believe.

Perhaps I expected more from the supplement
