Thanks Nick. I'll give it a try. I'll use the grey overbrush. I was thinking I might have a go with a dark brown undercoat for cavalry instead of black to speed up the cavalry.

Decals applied, re-washed shields, base edges painted & everything spray matt-varnished = done  8)

Sorry for turning up on this thread so late that it is practically  posthumous, but I must admit I am in awe of this army.  Quantity, quality, and speed. What an incredible combination.
