I'm going to claim a WIN here.  Never having met the crew, as far as I knew Leon was 7ft and towered over a tiny Dave.  Seems I touched a raw nerve...

I thought it was because black and white TV was invented before colour. As a kid I was convinced that Man U played in grey.

From memory the one time they did wear grey they got well and truly dicked by Southampton I think it was and spent all season moaning that they couldn't see other against the backdrop of the crowd. Says it all about Manchester really - drab, dreary and grey - a bit like Ferguson but less wrinkly and more sober
