I particularly like the "Pepper Pot" sentry boxes on the apex of the bastions.

Thanks for sharing!

I think running a solo game and talking to people is pretty challenging, so well done on that. The odd time I play a solo game, I find it much harder to track the turn order and all the rules than when I have an opponent who can correct errors (or its easier for me to spot their errors)!

You made a comment about 6'x4' tables being a luxury to play on in the UK. This is very different to my experience. I'm UK based and play at my house or those of my friends. I've not played on a table under 6'x4' even if in a few cases this literally filled the room in question. At my house I comfortably setup 8'x4' temporarily, another friend has 9'x6' permanently setup in what was once his garage, the third house we frequently play at we go with 6'x4'. And we have the option to use a holiday home of one of the group where we have two 6'x4' tables which can either make 12'x4' or 8'x6'.

Storage is absolutely a problem - I only got back into Wargame approx 15-20 years ago and the volume of stuff I have is large (and I try to avoid too much 28mm due to the volume that terrain takes up). But for gaming friends who have accumulated stuff for 40 years the volume of stuff is huge. The upside is that anything that we fancy playing someone will already have terrain and likely figures for it!

Thanks Steve, interesting to see one of the 'smaller' UK shows

At least your opponent wasn't chaffing at the bit to play while you were chatting ;)
