Hi all,

I know there are army lists in 2nd edition SP, but these appear to be a core. How big is a typical game?
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Last big game I was involved in I had 4 units of Woebegone (Zulus) natives, one with carbines. There were 7-8 players involved all  with similar sized forces. So id say 4-5 units of 8 or 12 figures each. If you are doing 10mm then use bases with say 4 figures on each.

Thanks.

Considering putting 3 10mm on a base, that counting "1 Man" in the rules (as discussed elsewhere. This will give me 9 bases, plus colour base, per pack.

That should be fine for an evening game.

fred.

It's been a while since I played SP - and I'm struggling to remember all the details of what a force looked like! You tend to 'buy' units in 8 man blocks, but then 2-4 of these are fielded together as a unit. And I think a few of these units made up a force.

You get a lot more line infantry than you do Rifles.

Even playing at 1:1 figure ratio in 10mm the on table units were bigger than I expected. Given the scale of the game colour parties feel unnecessary.

I also can't find photos of my games that were posted on this forum - which would have helped remember stuff.

I'm wondering how much I need to buy, so I'm trying to gauge a force.

So if the view is 5 units I'm looking at buying 6, plus a couple of cavalry to give options.
