How many sections of 8? (I' could dig the book up, or I could just ask you young bucks.)
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Haven't been called young in a while :)

I think it is flexible depending on the army list 2FL have lists on their forum

QuoteI have a plan for the bases

Also picking up a couple of packs of newline minis, think the rest will be pendraken

The newlines are OK but there is very little face detail, don't get me wrong I'm not expecting more than cheeks, chins and noses but these aren't great

Newline have some nice figures but agree the faces are fairly basic. Saying that I rarely paint More than a blob for the faces anyway so no loss there. Always astounded by those with the skill, time and patience to paint face details!

Three line and two skirmisher units would give you enough for a basic game. Typical 5 or 6 units and 2 or 3 leaders make up most armies, so pretty small to get going. Two packs from pendraken and maybe a command figure or two.

I'm happy with basic, these are more lumpy blobs. Out of 20 I have 5 or 6 that I can make ok

I spent a frustrating visit to the Lardies message board - though it has a lot of lists posted, the links are mostly not working anymore.

Doesn't help that my rules have got wet at some point, so the bottom cm or so is stuck together. Mostly have separated ok, or the tear hasn't mattered, but I have lost the middle of one paragraph, and I don't know yet how important it will be.

Thanks that'll be handy

Just waiting for an order to come in

While I was waiting I painted a couple more of the newline as 5/60th rifles

I think I'm getting to grips with the scale

I've been wondering about basing - you are going with round bases then?

I'm going with round for skirmish units  and square for rank
