Hello from Milano

Hello everyone, I'm Federico from Milano, Italy.
I'm painting since last decade of the last century, that is more than 30 years now ... 
Me and my chaps are lucky enough to have a little "bunker" or a cave if you wish, specifically dedicated to our painting and wargaming beloved hobby.
As many of us, we got hooked by good old GW stuff getting there from D&D rpg.
At the moment (among other things) we're using Alto Comando rules (High Command) by Riccardo Affinati, there's the english version somewhere on the web. It's an fast and easy set of rules for WWII divided in 6 principal scenarios (North Africa, Greece, Italy, Russia, Normandy and Pacific) using divisional perspective (a single base being a battalion 500/1000 men strong).
Our set is the North Africa campaign. I recently added some flags, though it's not historically correct it helps keeping track of my divisional HQs on the field (plus flags always look terribly good).
At the moment I can deploy the 7th armored division, a New Zealand infantry brigade, the 6th Australian infantry division and the 4th Indian infantry division (in this set of rules a British infantry division is formed by 1 HQ base, 9 infantry bases, 2 artillery bases and a single recon base).
My next step will be taking the brigade to a complete armored division.
My friend is mustering a remarkable force of those pesky Italians - luckily poorly equipped and badly commanded...
We started collecting and painting Pendraken miniatures less than one year ago and this December we had our first fight on Western Africa territories, but the core of our campaign will be set in Libya (and hopefully in Tunisia).

Your WW2 stuff looks very nice. The flags are a good way to distinguish the various HQ units.

The set we're using is very simple, aiming not to represent specifically a unit or an equipment but the tactical approach to the battle. In the widest scenario (the Tunisian campaign) I could deploy up to 7 divisions, meaning 70ish bases between British, American and French forces. It's a very large "zoom out", we could play on a map with the right scale. Something like being in the Headquarters and setting the general plan.
