QuoteClose, but you'll find the title of the film in Revelations Ch 6, what the Beasts says in vs 1, 3, 5 and 7.

"People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome."

Bravo! My favourite film.

It isn't easy viewing!

Not for the faint hearted, that's for sure.

Quote from: fsn on 30 October 2022, 01:08:33 PMOh hang on! Mr Cook is being a bit clever. "Military drama". Mayhap not a "War" film, but one in a military setting - like The Presidio or The General's Daughter.

Courage Under Fire wasn't Navy so A Few Good men then? Sounds like Jack Nicholson to Tom Cruise.

Of course, joint first prize to you and Ithoriel.  One of Jack Nicholson's finest roles, I think.

Here's one for you all ...

I have no idea.  Give us a clue.  I'm thinking of movies where a camera/photographer features, like Full Metal Jacket and We Were Soldiers but the quote doesn't feature in either as far as I remember.

A sci-fi comedy classic.
Also contains the phrases: "Chicken. Good!" and "Excuse me sir, are you classified as Human? Negative. I am a meat popsicle" ...

I am giving it away now.

Or even this one ...
" I hate warriors, too narrow-minded. I'll tell you what I do like though: a killer, a dyed-in-the-wool killer. Cold blooded, clean, methodical and thorough. Now a real killer, when he picked up the ZF-1, would've immediately asked about the little red button on the bottom of the gun.."

Correct - one of my all time favorite films - you've just gotta luv Gary Oldman as Zorg.

I quite like it but my enjoyment was diminished by the anachronistic presence of a Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer.

It completely destroyed the grity realism the film was aiming for.

Fifth Element has some great casting. Oldman as Zorg, for sure, but also Bruce Willis as Corben and Chris Tucker as Ruby Rhod.

Another quote then

"Mr. Graham, tell this man to fire at me. Tell this man that if he does not shoot me I will kill him."

Not really.  Not a sci-fi fan I'm afraid.  Not mad about comedy movies either, so I'm out.  But I do remember a chicken quote from a comedy movie, though I can't remember what it was.  It goes something like.

"What's for dinner?"
"Coq au Vin"
"Good, I love chicken"
"Chicken?"

Big Insect

OK ... how about ... "... if you'll eat it, you'll never have to prove your courage in any other way."

There are a lot more famous quotes from this film as well, of course.
And it is a War film.

I know what you mean - every time I have seen "A New Hope" (Star Wars IV) I end up wondering why some of the Imperial Stormtroopers in Mos Eisley appear to be armed with MG 34's or Lewis Guns ;D
