Greetings,

I am wondering 2 things a two things about German infantry statistics.

Is there a reason that the Heer designation is not assigned to German infantry in the North Africa list? I am also curious why there are no Heer veteran infantry on any of the theatre lists?

I understand that I can assign veteran ability but I was wondering if there was a reason for the above?

Thanks

I don't think that there was a particular reason - no.

Generally, the German army had 3 standard designations for the primary branches of the Wehrmacht, which were the Heer (army), Luftwaffe (air force), and Kriegsmarine (navy).
So the Heer was, at the start of the war, composed of a lot of career soldiers. However, this changed as the demands of the war, and casualties increased.

As you state, you can upgrade your Heer to Veterans by paying the 5pts cost per unit. But even in North Africa the idea that the whole formation might be veterans is probably stretching things a bit.

Cheers
