Cheers Will. Thought these had managed to slip under the radar...

Having a rummage yesterday discovered some more commandos - probably the same again. 12 bases should be plenty, and they should be able to proxy for standard British infantry too.

Sludge Araby Units

Got the latest of these figures based up, and decorated the bases - feeling this forces is getting pretty close to done - I've got one more Line Infantry unit to do, and could add more mounted or foot knights if needed.

Line infantry, Jaegers, Shock Infantry and Commanders

Knights, Light Cavalry, Foot Knights and gore tokens

Knights - these are TB Line figures

Gore tokens (a key part of the rules) and Foot Knights (more TB Line figures - I really like these models)

Line Infantry - armed with Crossbows (TB Line)

Jägers - Pendraken NW Frontier figures (and possibly others)

Mages and Commanders

In Sludge most units consist of 3-6 bases (chosen by the player) so with most of these figures I can do 1 large or 2 medium sized units.

Thanks all  :)

I now need to work out what their opponents might look like. I have a few thoughts, that don't necessarily work together!
* Infantry in great coats
* TB Line foot knights
* The new LoA Hussars
* The new AWI skirmishers
* Seven Year War troops (mainly as I have loads of these spare)

I'm fairly sure I can make the first 3 work together - its the last 2 that feel more of a challenge...

Getting all those to work together does look to be a bit of a stretch

Thanks Paul

Yes, the SYW stuff feels the hardest to make fit - and I happen to have quite a lot of figures for this period - not entirely sure why. I think they probably came in bulk buys.

Had a bit of a move around of stuff at home, and moved my work stuff up stairs, freeing up my desk for proper stuff, like painting! This has been good and I have progressed quite a lot more figures just by having a fixed location. So expect more photos over the next few days

First up some late 19th C Japanese Marines - for Boxer Rebellion type games.

28mm figures (obvs) needed a small amount of build, heads and back packs in the main

Also in coming to base these discovered that many of the unopened cheap tubes of super glue I had had dried up. Fortunately not all, though this was a very runny super glue, and nearly ended up gluing a couple of figures to the cutting mat.

Indeed! I've got a load of Boxers dating back to when IHMN came out, and more recently have added a couple of sets of British figures, one in red coats and one in kakhi to allow for skirmishes with Fistful of Lead. FFoL is great as about 5-6 figures is enough for a gang, slightly more if you add a lot of minions, and its a great multi-player game.

Dwarves

Back to 10mm but classic Warmaster Dwarves, but based up for home-brew fantasy rules with 40mm square bases. 3 bases of Rangers, 2 Cannons and a Flame Cannon with coal wagon. I've got a fair old army of stunties painted up now. Got 3 gyrocopters in progress. And a load of 2nd hand,  hand gunners that need some tidying up. Then I need to decide whether I paint more BoFA infantry or get more copplestone ones. The problem is the BoFA figures are pretty small (even for a dwarf)
